JOB SUMMARY:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Office of Medical Education (OME) is seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative IT professional to join its Integrated Learning and Technology team. This role will lead process improvements, leverage AI and Microsoft tools to implement automation, and drive innovation across OME’s diverse teams and units. The position works closely with leadership and managers to streamline workflows, support data-informed decision-making, and enhance user experience through advanced solutions like AI-powered avatars. The ideal candidate is passionate about change management, with a strong interest in developing training, guiding technology adoption, and promoting a culture of digital literacy and continuous improvement.
Supervision Received: Reports directly to the UME IT Program Manager
Supervision Exercised: This position will have no direct reports; however, the position must have the ability to influence and guide non-direct reports through change and innovation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 1-year professional hands-on experience with process mapping tools and automation platforms
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or digital transformation
- Experience AI technologies such as NLP, machine learning, and conversational AI
- Experience with avatar development platforms (e.g., Synthesia, Soul Machines, D-ID)
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, RPA, AI/ML, or Microsoft Power Platform
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent
- Experience working in academic, healthcare, or public sector environments and experience in Microsoft tools including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Excel, Teams, and Azure AI
- Experience with enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or ServiceNow

- Experience designing and delivering training programs, including instructional materials, hands-on sessions, and virtual learning modules
- Ability to assess user readiness and tailor training approaches to different learning styles and technical skill levels
- Comfortable facilitating change enablement and promoting digital literacy across teams
- Exposure to agile methodologies and product management frameworks
- Understanding of business process analysis, re-engineering, and automation principles
