We are seeking a Technology Entrepreneur – Textile Engineer to support the design, development, and industrialization of innovative products. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full product development lifecycle within a structured, quality-driven, and regulated environment. As a Technology Entrepreneur –Textile Engineer, you will be required to: * Design and develop medical related textile products   * Design products according to the medical device scope * Design and develop according to the ISO 13485 standards * Strong idea on FDA, CE, UKCA and other related regulatory bodies * Test and validate the developments * Understand the customer requirement and prepare the solution plan * Understand the scope and limitation of the solution * Clear communication with internal and external customers about the solution * Medical related textile material development * Develop material according to medical standards * Work with the medically accredited labs to test and validate the materials * Bulk feasibility study and New Product Integration (NPI) * Smooth bulk execution with the suppliers following ISO 13485 * Documentation on the process and validating * FMEA   The ideal candidate should have:   * A degree in Textile Engineering or a related discipline. * 1-2 years of post-graduate experience in engineering, including internships or co-operative training programs. * Basic proficiency in 3D CAD tools. * Sound understanding of core Textile Engineering principles. * Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. * High level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Willingness to operate within a regulated medical device environment. * Demonstrated commitment to learning and continuous improvement. * Internship or academic project experience related to medical devices, durable medical equipment (DME), or consumer products will be an added advantage. * Exposure to basic manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, and plastics, with familiarity in engineering drawings and GD&T concepts. * Hands-on experience with prototyping or testing in a laboratory environment.   Location - Foster Lane, Colombo.
Responsibilities
