Technology Entrepreneur – Materials Engineer Softmatter MAS Innovation, Colombo, Sri Lanka Softmatter is the wearable technology company of MAS with a portfolio of patented technologies. By enabling the intersection between textiles and electronics we create products that enhance experiences, function, and everyday interactions. We are looking for an experienced Product Lead to drive product strategy, innovation, and business growth for Softmatter. You will be required to: * Define the product strategy and roadmap for the Softmatter business. * Lead end-to-end product execution, including design, product development, tooling, and craftsmanship excellence. * Drive capability development through access to emerging technologies and innovation platforms. * Build organizational capacity by developing teams, enhancing processes, and strengthening equipment capabilities. * Establish and strengthens strategic partnerships across the product and technology ecosystem. * Support business growth through technical sales and product marketing initiatives. * Manage and expand the intellectual property (IP) portfolio to create a sustainable competitive advantage. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation and commercialization efforts. The ideal candidate should have: * A Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering (Textile, Electronics, or a related discipline). * Professional qualifications in Product Management and/or Project Management (preferred). * A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Development, Research & Development, or Innovation Management. * Strong knowledge of wearable technologies and technology integration within products. * Familiarity with key product technologies, including Cut & Sew, Bonding, Knitting, and Seamless technologies. * Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams. * Strong understanding of supply chain management and ecosystem development. * Excellent stakeholder management and networking capabilities. * Experience in technical sales, product commercialization, or customer-facing technical engagements. * Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and execution capabilities. Responsibilities

The Product Lead will define the product strategy and roadmap for Softmatter, overseeing end-to-end execution from design to commercialization. They will also manage the IP portfolio and build strategic partnerships to drive business growth in wearable technology.
