Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a wide range of technology-related legal matters, including data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property.
- Drafting and negotiating a range of technology contracts, including SaaS agreements.
- Providing advice on innovative new technologies, evolving AI legal issues, and data privacy/cybersecurity matters.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Offering strategic guidance on emerging technology trends and their legal implications through a commercial lens.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years PQE within top-tier private practice, further in-house experience highly regarded.
- Deep understanding of technology law and experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of SaaS contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations including the Privacy Act.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Must have full Australian working rights and be admitted to practice law in Australia.
