Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of technology-related legal matters, including data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property.
  • Drafting and negotiating a range of technology contracts, including SaaS agreements.
  • Providing advice on innovative new technologies, evolving AI legal issues, and data privacy/cybersecurity matters.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offering strategic guidance on emerging technology trends and their legal implications through a commercial lens.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years PQE within top-tier private practice, further in-house experience highly regarded.
  • Deep understanding of technology law and experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of SaaS contracts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian data privacy laws and regulations including the Privacy Act.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be admitted to practice law in Australia.
