ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

WOLF is looking for a full-time Technology Manager, Test Engineering & Fixtures based in Aurora, ON.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of automated test solutions that support both engineering verification and production for WOLF’s high-performance embedded computing and sensor systems.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for designing and maintaining robust test infrastructure and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Defining requirements and implementing design and production-grade automated test fixtures
  • Developing and maintaining a multi-year roadmap for test infrastructure capabilities
  • Collaborating with Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to integrate design-for-test principles early in the product lifecycle
  • Designing, scripting, and debugging test software frameworks and supporting hardware systems
  • Monitoring key performance indicators such as cycle time, yield, and first-pass success
  • Communicating across teams to align fixture designs with production and engineering needs
  • Leading future hiring and mentorship for a small test engineering team as the function grows
  • Supporting qualification and validation activities in alignment with industry standards

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements. As a condition of employment, applicants must be able to provide valid documentation to show Canadian or US citizenship or Canadian Permanent Residency and undergo a police check with no criminal background.

The following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency in automated test software development using Python, C/C++, and/or LabVIEW, with strong scripting and database integration skills
  • Experience integrating diagnostics and firmware into automated production test workflows
  • Familiarity with JTAG, PCIe, USB, LAN, I²C, SPI, DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, SDI, ARINC-818, and high-speed networking protocols
  • Experience working with FPGAs, GPUs, high-speed SERDES, fiber-optic interfaces, and custom automated test equipment
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or comparable environmental and stress test standards
  • Deep understanding of design-for-test methodologies, boundary-scan techniques, functional and stress/ESS testing, and statistical validation methods
  • Hands-on experience with quality engineering tools and practices, including 8D, FMEA, DOE, and ISO/AS9100 quality management systems
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as CGP, ITAR, IPC-610/620, or other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Experience preparing project plans, technical documentation, and ROI analyses to support strategic decision-making
  • Background in ruggedized embedded systems or accelerated computing technologies used in edge environments (an asset)
  • Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile development methodologies (an asset)
  • A master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (an asset)
