JOB DESCRIPTION
The Technology Modernization Manager develops innovative solutions and technology strategy. They own the end-to-end solution design strategy across teams and partner with other architects. The role makes recommendations for new procedures and overall architectural approach, partnering with senior level architects. Utilizes technical expertise and leadership skills to resolve issues and ensure product goals are met across the team. Takes a hands-on approach with Proof of Concepts and blueprints. Partners and influences technologists on key concepts and architectural designs and on defining the team’s roadmap in line with the company and technology vision. Drives alignment to EA standards. Help with evaluating vendor products and how to integrate with U.S. Bank infrastructure and standards. Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Able to communicate with all parties involved in the product team (engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors, end users, etc.). Takes a long-term view of the architecture direction. Brings awareness where processes, architecture, organization are not optimal and drives the team and leadership to make changes proactively to address them. Identifies technical complexities or limitations that may impact product long-term product plans. Brings Enterprise Architecture, Software Development Life Cycle, engineering and security considerations to product and strategic planning discussions.
