Description
Technology & OT Infrastructure Lead | Asset Systems, Cyber & Vendor Orchestration Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane / Perth Aula Energy is building a portfolio of solar, wind and battery assets that will help power Australia’s clean energy future. As we transition from renewable developer to long term asset owner, technology is becoming a critical enabler of how we operate, manage risk and generate performance insights across our portfolio. We are looking for a Technology & OT Infrastructure Lead to define and operate Aula’s technology environment across enterprise IT and operational technology (OT). This is not an IT leadership role, and there is no large internal team. Instead, this is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on ensuring our technology ecosystem is secure, integrated and fit-for-purpose - working through a curated set of specialist vendors and partners. It is a hands on role focused on architecture, cyber security, data and vendor orchestration within a deliberately lean operating model. Operating at the intersection of technology, procurement and asset operations, you will play a key role in shaping how Aula governs and delivers technology capability through its partner ecosystem, supporting asset performance, portfolio growth and enterprise decision-making. You will define how Aula owns and governs its technology environment while working through specialist delivery partners. You will: Own and coordinate Aula’s enterprise and operational technology environment across IT and OT systems Ensure SCADA, asset performance, and operational systems are effectively integrated into the broader technology landscape Define and maintain a fit-for-purpose architecture that supports a growing portfolio without unnecessary complexity and cost Oversee cyber security governance, including alignment with critical infrastructure and SOCI obligations Lead and orchestrate Aula’s managed service providers and technology vendors, ensuring clear accountability and performance Establish reliable data flows and platforms to support asset management, finance, and executive reporting Support the integration of newly acquired assets into Aula’s systems and data environment Act as the key interface between technology, asset management, projects, and corporate functions Identify pragmatic opportunities to improve system reliability, visibility and performance insights Define and maintain a coherent enterprise technology architecture aligned to Aula’s operating model and growth plans, connecting technology capability to enterprise needs across all areas of the business Ensure cyber security governance and SOCI obligations are clearly owned, coordinated and implemented You bring: Experience in technology, infrastructure or OT environments within energy, utilities, mining or critical infrastructure Strong understanding of operational technology (OT), SCADA, control systems or industrial environments Proven ability to work across IT and OT domains, including systems integration and data flows Experience operating within vendor-led or outsourced delivery models (MSPs, service providers, OEMs) Practical understanding of cyber security in asset-intensive or regulated environments Hands-on capability - comfortable operating as an individual contributor in a lean organisation Strong stakeholder capability, able to translate between technical specialists and non-technical leaders Experience in renewable energy or asset management environments is beneficial but not essential. This is a rare opportunity to build and shape the technology backbone of a growing renewable energy owner, working at the intersection of technology, infrastructure and asset performance, helping Aula scale its portfolio with clarity, discipline and a one enterprise lens. Power up the future with us. What We Offer Join a dynamic, collaborative team making a real difference in Australia’s energy transition - and play a role in shaping the people, culture, and capability that will drive our future. Depending on eligibility and location, Aula Energy employees can access a wide range of benefits, including: Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Wellbeing and service bonus leave Up to 20 weeks paid parental leave Paid volunteer leave Range of benefits to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Aula Energy is proud to be a certified Great Place to Work, WORK180 Endorsed Employer, and AFR Best Place to Work, and is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Aula Energy is an Australian-headquartered renewable energy business. We’re dedicated to developing, building and operating onshore renewable energy projects across Australia with ambition to expand into New Zealand. Established by Macquarie in 2023, we bring together a proud Australian heritage, a specialist team with decades of experience in onshore renewables and a shared mission to provide energy for the future. We believe that together we can be greater than the sum of our parts. And that it’s through partnership that we can have the most impact.
