Description
Company Description Are you a strategic, solutions‑focused portfolio leader who thrives on bringing clarity, alignment, and momentum to complex technology portfolios? We’re looking for a Technology Portfolio Lead to join our Transformation & Delivery team on a fixed‑term basis for 6 months, covering parental leave from May 2026. This role will be 35 hours per week. Job Description This role supports technology portfolios that underpin customer-facing systems and digital experiences with a strong focus on platforms such as Salesforce and integrated CX ecosystems. You will ensure initiatives are prioritised, sequenced, and delivered to maximise customer and business value. Sitting at the heart of our technology organisation, this role focuses on portfolio orchestration rather than hands‑on delivery, driving demand and capacity alignment, enabling strategic execution, strengthening delivery governance, and helping teams work more effectively and consistently. Key Responsibilities Demand & Capacity Management Lead annual and quarterly planning across Technology to ensure capacity is aligned to strategic priorities and customer impacting outcomes. Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning. Manage demand intake and prioritisation processes. Track team availability, utilisation, and future demand. Portfolio & Execution Orchestration Maintain the technology portfolio and track progress, risks, and dependencies. Support sequencing and prioritisation of strategic initiatives and influence these decisions with senior technology and business leaders. Provide fact-based recommendations on trade-offs across cost, capacity, risk and customer value. Enable efficient cross‑team delivery through consistent frameworks and governance. Experience supporting Salesforce‑based or CRM‑centric delivery portfolios. Exposure to customer experience platforms, digital channels, or omni‑channel technology environments. Understanding of how technology delivery translates into measurable customer outcomes. Delivery Governance & Execution Oversight Establish and maintain delivery governance frameworks. Define and track KPIs that measure delivery health, value realisation, and customer impact. Create dashboards to improve visibility of progress, health, and performance. Team Ways of Working Enable consistent ways of working across delivery teams rather than directly managing delivery. Coach teams on effective delivery practices. Drive continuous improvement and consistency across teams. Reporting, Insights & Stakeholder Engagement Own and maintain the backlog of portfolio demand and delivery activity for Group Technology Solutions & Engineering to enable transparent prioritisation, consistent ways of working and high-quality portfolio insights. Produce high‑quality reporting and actionable insights for senior leaders. Act as a trusted advisor on efficiency, prioritisation, and delivery optimisation. Qualifications Essential Experience Proven experience in technology portfolio management, demand & capacity planning, and delivery assurance. Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Experience establishing governance frameworks and reporting for large-scale tech initiatives. Skilled in interpreting data, KPIs, and insights to drive decisions. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication capability. Strong experience leveraging Jira, JSM, Confluence to drive delivery insight and governance. Preferred Experience Experience working in large-scale transformation or enterprise-change. Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving portfolio landscapes. Mindset & Ways of Working You’ll thrive in this role if you are: A strong influencer and relationship builder. A strategic thinker with a practical execution mindset. Highly collaborative across technology, product, and business teams. Adaptable, curious, and committed to continuous improvement. Able to simplify complexity and create clarity for others. Additional Information If you're excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and enable our technology teams to deliver with greater clarity, alignment, and efficiency, we’d love to hear from you.
