Wilhelmsen Global Business Service (GBS) is looking for a Technology Procurement Manager
The Technology Procurement Manager will lead and perform procurement from A to Z in GBS when it comes to technology contracts. This is to enable the organization to procure required products and services in the most time- and cost-efficient manner. The role will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of the procurement processes in close collaboration with other key stakeholders. This includes having up to date knowledge of the technology supplier landscape, perform qualification of potential suppliers, lead supplier negotiations, ensure contract drafting/signature, as well as contract management and contract termination. The Technology Procurement Manager holds the responsibility for the tools and processes for technology procurement in GBS, ensuring procurement is documented through user-friendly tools that optimize transparency. To succeed, the Technology Procurement Manager has strong knowledge of technology products and services we are likely to procure, remaining customer centric right throughout.
The Technology Procurement Manager will report to the Head of Technology Procurement and collaborate with multiple internal- and external stakeholders across Wilhelmsen.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing, owning, and implementing procurement strategies and procedures that meet business needs through sourcing, introduction, negotiation, and development of new suppliers.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures across the Wilhelmsen’s business units.
  • Supporting Wilhelmsen’s business units regarding contract design and negotiation with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Responsible for IT procurement processes across the Wilhelmsen.
  • Responsible for IT contract negotiations.
  • Data gathering and supplier market analysis.
  • Master data management.
  • Manage RFx initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing IT contract framework and templates across the Wilhelmsen.
  • Ensuring that Wilhelmsen’s IT contract framework and templates at all times are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for establishing/renewing/terminating IT contracts.
  • Managing interaction between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Escalation point regarding supplier/contract issues.
  • Managing legal disputes.
  • Managing/monitoring customer needs and complaints.
  • Performing contract review meetings and reporting on contract performance and supplier risk.
  • Monitoring supplier performance against KPI`s and mitigate supplier risks.
  • Assisting in other related tasks within the department as found appropriate.

What we are looking for:

  • Broad experience in technology procurement processes and managing suppliers and contracts.
  • Experience working with procurement management systems (e.g., Ivalua, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience managing contracts across a broad range of IT categories, such as software, SaaS, licenses, IT services (e.g., consultancy, implementation, support, managed services), hardware, infrastructure, cloud, telecom, ISP, and network solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with contract law, specifically standard IT contracts, e.g. Norwegian DIFI SSA.
  • Ability to make independent decisions on sourcing approaches, negotiation strategies, and supplier selection.
  • High degree of initiative, and self-direction.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication- and problem-solving skills.
  • Structured and professional approach towards colleagues, business stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
