Responsible for managing the full project lifecycle across technical and business work streams, developing and implementing an effective plan to ensure that projects deliver their agreed goals within quality, cost and time objectives. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders within the function and across the business.

Responsibilities

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you’ll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of major technology programmes, from initiation through execution to closure, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and to-spec delivery. This could be at a portfolio level with multiple accountable delivery teams, or at a programme management level for major complex programmes.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for technology major programmes, aligning them with the organisation’s long-term objectives. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive programme plan, including defining objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success and impact of technology programmes.
  • Develop and manage budgets for major technology programmes. Monitor budgetary allocations for each project within the portfolio, track expenditures against approved budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities or potential overruns. Proactively provide financial forecasts / reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that programmes adhere to best practices and quality standards in technology development, implementation by adopting consistency with ways of working.
