Are you our next Project Engineer? Join our Sorting Technology team and help shape the future of logistics infrastructure.
Our Sorting Technology team is responsible for ensuring that Posti’s sorting operations are supported by reliable, efficient, and future-proof technical solutions. We manage the lifecycle of sorting equipment, lead investment and development projects, and collaborate closely with production, maintenance providers, and technology vendors. Our mission is to continuously improve operational performance and support Posti’s strategic goals through smart technology choices.
We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team and support the planning and execution of investment projects related to our sorting center operations.
Your primary workplace is either in Helsinki, Vantaa, or Tallinn.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, budgeting, and execution of investment projects related to sorting center infrastructure and technology.
  • Collaborate with production, suppliers, and maintenance partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and review technical layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
  • Identify and implement new technologies that improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term maintenance and investment strategies.
  • Act as a bridge between production and technical stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment.

We hope that you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical, automation, or related field).
  • Several years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably in logistics, automation, or industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, independent working style.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluent language skills in English and Finnish - any other language is considered an asset.

Why should you join us?
With us, you will be part of a company whose operations impact the daily lives of millions of people. We have grown into an international logistics expert that employs around 15,000 people in the Nordic and Baltic countries. We are constantly developing new technology, and we are pioneers in our industry in building a more sustainable future: we have set the ambitious objective of operating fossil-free by 2030 and be on net-zero what comes to our emissions by 2040.
We promote a diverse and inclusive work environment. All our managers undergo Caring Leader training, and together, we are building a caring work culture. Our dedication to supporting mental well-being at work has also been acknowledged with the Mental Health Friendly Workplace® certification in 2025. With us, you will also have an excellent opportunity to develop your career and skills through diverse tasks, development projects, and training programs.
As part of our employee benefits, we offer comprehensive occupational healthcare through Mehiläinen, Epassi benefits for culture, sports, and commuting, and lunch at a discounted staff rate. You will also get to participate in events offered by the Posti Group’s occupational well-being foundation, such as wellness courses, concerts, sports events, and amusement park days. We work according to our hybrid model, both in the office and remotely. At the end of this year, our headquarters will return to Helsinki city center, Postitalo.
