Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client, a global manufacturing business, to recruit an experienced ICT Project Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a high-impact opportunity to direct multi-site IT and commercial development projects across Europe and beyond. Managing work streams spanning internal teams and outsourced partners, you will play a central role in delivering strategic, cutting-edge software and cloud integration solutions across a complex global enterprise.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as an ICT Project Manager will include:

  • Delivering cost-effective, high-quality ICT projects end-to-end using structured project management methodologies and gateway governance.
  • Managing up to three concurrent technical projects across 11 international sites, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, budget, and schedules.
  • Collaborating with commercial stakeholders and technical design leads to gather requirements, build business cases, and produce detailed Project Definition Documents (PDDs).
  • Directing cross-functional project teams, onshore and offshore technical resources, and outsourced development partners.
  • Tracking project KPIs, monitoring actuals against forecast spend, and providing transparent reporting to senior management and directors.
  • Overseeing technical implementation into live production environments, ensuring robust test strategies, quality standards, and compliance with J-SOX and TISAX security guidelines.
  • Conducting post-implementation reviews, managing warranty periods, and embedding continuous improvements into standard ICT processes.
  • Evaluating and negotiating with external suppliers of ICT services, software tools, and infrastructure.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal ICT Project Manager will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

  • A minimum of five years of proven IT project management experience delivering software and commercial development projects involving outsourced development partners.
  • A strong technical background with at least five years of commercial development experience across analysis, design, coding, and implementation.
  • Demonstrable expertise in Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), as well as internal and cloud integration solutions.
  • Formal project management methodology credentials or practical experience in PRINCE2 or an equivalent framework.
  • Working knowledge of database design, systems architecture, and modern IT collaboration and planning software.
  • Proven leadership capability to motivate multi-disciplinary onshore and remote offshore teams across different time zones.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to negotiate technical deliverables with senior business managers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional UK and international travel across global sites as required.
