As a Technology Project Manager at Strategic Communications, you will play a critical role in the Project Management Office (PMO), leading commercial Audiovisual (AV), structured cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have proven project execution experience in active construction environments where AV or adjacent technologies are installed.
This role requires expertise in developing project artifacts, including but not limited to schedule of values, RFIs (Requests for Information), construction schedules, and coordination plans. Success in this role demands a high degree of organization, leadership, and adaptability, particularly when engaging with multiple contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience leading commercial AV, structured cabling, or low-voltage technology projects in active construction environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent project management experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in commercial construction environments, coordinating with General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, and other trades.
• Familiarity with project artifacts such as schedule of values, RFIs, change orders, and submittal processes in construction projects.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other auto-calculating scheduling tools.
• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, CTS-D, CTS-I, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with a focus on documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of AV system integration, low-voltage installation best practices, and structured cabling principles.

• Own and drive assigned projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with budget, scope, and schedule.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including schedule of values, RFIs, construction schedules, and deployment plans to ensure efficient execution.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to align construction schedules with technology installation requirements.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, including design engineers, AV installation technicians, programmers, and subcontractors.
• Manage change requests, unforeseen site conditions, and evolving client needs while maintaining project alignment.
• Drive compliance with commercial construction standards, low-voltage infrastructure best practices, and audiovisual system integration protocols.
• Proactively assess and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth execution of technology deployments.
• Support the PMO’s growth and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the standardization and enhancement of project management processes.
• Ensure quality control by conducting on-site project reviews and collaborating with field teams.
