Responsibilities

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Security & Risk Manager to join our Technology team and shape the future of our systems within Ireland. This role involves developing and embedding technology risk management strategies and security practices. While primarily accountable for Bord Gáis Energy, you will work closely with the Centrica Group Technology Security team to ensure alignment to best practice, and act as lead in local implementation of Group security and risk projects. Reporting to the Technology Director in Ireland, you will be a key member of the local Technology leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Implementing technology security policies and overseeing Bord Gáis Energy’s business continuity and resilience plans
  • Act as overall system security Design Authority, and manage internal and external IT audits. Maintain the up-to-date technology risk register, drive mitigating actions, and support the Assets division with Operational Technology compliance with Network & Information Systems (NIS) directive.
  • Ensure business understanding of key IT security risks and risk strategies through effective awareness raising and training initiatives
  • Act as a Cybersecurity champion
  • Attend industry meetings to stay informed about threats to Energy suppliers
