About the role

Evolution Technology Group is growing, and we're looking for another technician to join our Gold Coast team. This isn't a role where you'll spend every day doing the same thing. We work across electronic security, CCTV, access control, data cabling, fibre, networking, Wi-Fi, communications and commercial AV, delivering projects for commercial and multi-site clients across Queensland and Australia. We're looking for someone who enjoys technology, likes working with their hands, and wants to develop into a genuinely multi-skilled technician.

Key responsibilities

• Work across a mix of installations, upgrades, service calls and fault finding, including CCTV and access control systems, commercial networks and Wi-Fi, Cat6/data cabling, fibre, communications infrastructure and AV systems
• Run your own jobs, commission systems and deal directly with customers as your capability grows

About you

• Experience in one or more of: CCTV and electronic security, access control and alarms, structured data cabling, fibre optic cabling, networking, switches and Wi-Fi, telecommunications, commercial AV, or electrical or other technical trades
• Technically minded and enjoys figuring things out
• Takes pride in doing clean, professional work
• Reliable and actually turns up
• Can communicate properly with customers and the team
• Wants to learn rather than just do the minimum
• Can work independently once trained
• Takes responsibility for their jobs
• Comfortable using apps and modern technology in the field
• Current driver's licence is required
• A cabling registration and security licence are highly regarded
