Description
We’re seeking a versatile and technically proficient Technology Specialist to lead the development, programming, integration, and optimization of advanced AV systems. The role includes regional remote programming and onsite programming, GUI design and audio configuration, unified communications integration, networking and third-party automation support. You’ll collaborate across regional business units, project teams and continuously enhance system capabilities while reporting to the Technical Manager. Key Responsibilities · Review and validate AV schematics for signal flow, compatibility, and integration feasibility · Design custom GUI interfaces and generate formal Control UI Specifications for implementation from small to large scale projects · Execute remote or onsite configuration, programming and troubleshooting for complete AV systems deployments · Program and interface third-party subsystem such as Lighting systems (e.g., DMX, KNX, DALI), Motorized blinds and shading systems, Environmental sensors (e.g., occupancy, temperature, air quality) · AVoIP network setup and troubleshooting of AV network infrastructure. · Tune and calibrate audio systems using DSP tools (e.g., Shure, Biamp, Q-SYS) · Deliver proof-of-concept demos with full documentation including schematics, test logs, and commissioning reports · Estimate and evaluate programming cost and effort for project planning and proposal support · Maintain documentation archives, version control, and system update logs · Respond to service requests with diagnostics, control code adjustments, and system optimization · Record tasks, manage progress, and align timelines by Asana · Work proactively with business units for scheduling, case follow-up, and timely reporting · Enhance AV system capabilities through reusable code modules, technology upgrades, and user experience improvements · Integrate and configure unified communication platforms: Cisco and Poly endpoints, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Tencent Meeting Key Skills Verbal & Written Communication · Elaborate ideas and concepts clearly and concisely · Active listening · Ability to clarify and explain technical topics in both professional and layman terms · Fluent in both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin Interpersonal skills · Communicates with integrity · Ability to work harmoniously with others · Ability to identify, gather analyse and understand information and reach sound conclusions, recommendations, or solutions · Reliable with tasks are completed thoroughly, accurately in a timely manner with good quality · Proactive and adaptive Others · Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mind · Passion on learning latest technologies · High comfort level working in a diverse environment · Self-motivated, ability to work independently and under pressure · Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and vendors. Network knowledge is a plus but not mandatory Programming Qualifications · Expertise in AV control system platforms: Crestron (SIMPL/SIMPL+/Vtpro-e), AMX (Netlinx), Q-SYS Designer, Extron Control, Lightware LARA programming · Proficient in Biamp Tesira, Shure Designer, BSS audio processor configuring and tuning technique · Experience in AVoIP networking setup (Netgear, Cisco, Extreme) · Experience integrating Unified communication systems (Cisco, Poly, MS Teams, Zoom, Tencent), Third-party systems (lighting, blinds, environmental sensors) Preferred Skills & Certifications · AVIXA CTS / CTS-D, Crestron Certified Programmer, Q-SYS Level 2 · Scripting knowledge: Python, JavaScript, Lua · Experience with GUI wireframing and user experience design · Familiarity with IoT integration, smart building technologies, and remote AV diagnostics Work Experience · Minimum 5 years of experience in AV system programming for small to large scale projects · 5 years of working knowledge of TCP/IP, Visca, UVC, RS-232/422/485 wiring interface or other device communication protocol. · 2 years of working knowledge of AVoIP networks, including wireless networks. · Thorough understanding of audiovisual testing methodologies and quality assurance. · Knowledge and practical experience in banking office / trading floor / video conference room setup. · Able to work under pressure and fast-paced environment, willing to work extended hours.
