Description

At Freddie Mac, our mission of Making Home Possible is what motivates us, and it’s at the core of everything we do. Since our charter in 1970, we have made home possible for more than 90 million families across the country. Join an organization where your work contributes to a greater purpose.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We seek a visionary and results-driven leader to head the “Agentic AI Operationalization & Engineering” initiatives within our Single-Family Acquisition (SFA) division. Agentic AI enables the automation of goal-oriented workflows and processes that can significantly enhance organizational
efficiency, scale and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Agentic AI Strategy and Implementation:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for integrating Agentic AI
across development teams, focusing on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and
    innovation.
o Lead the adoption of AI-driven tools and methodologies, including AI agents, to support software development lifecycle improvements such as coding,
    documentation, and framework creation.
o Identify and champion “keystone” projects that leverage AI to solve significant pain points, demonstrating tangible improvements in productivity and risk
reduction, while building “competitive moats” through practical applications of
    AI.

o Lead the selection, implementation, and operational management of AI agent technologies (e.g., AI-powered coding assistants) to empower individuals and teams for autonomous problem resolution, increased velocity, and enhanced control over software operations. This includes leading the strategic shift to managing “fleets of coding agents” and their AI supervisors to maximize developer productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Collaborate with business and technology leaders to establish strategic plans
and objectives that incorporate Agentic AI capabilities, ensuring alignment with
corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
o Engage with executives and major customers to communicate the value and
impact of AI-driven transformations, leveraging negotiation and influence skills

to gain buy-in.

  • Governance and Compliance:

o Ensure AI initiatives, particularly those involving Agentic AI, adhere to
regulatory standards, focusing on data privacy, intellectual property protection,
and compliance with industry regulations.
o Collaborate with the Enterprise functions to implement and adopt governance

frameworks to manage risks associated with the implementation and use of AI

  • Organizational Transformation:

o Promote cultural change towards AI adoption, emphasizing the augmentation of human skills and the creation of a “human in the loop” approach to AI
implementation.
o Design and execute change management strategies to prepare the workforce for AI-driven transformations, addressing concerns about job displacement by
highlighting opportunities for increased impact and value creation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy, implementation, and operationalization within a large enterprise, with substantial experience in financial services
  • Proven track record of leading technological and organizational change, particularly in AI integration and software development transformations.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML techniques, including natural language processing and predictive analytics, and their application in enterprise settings.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and cloud-based AI platforms, with a focus on enhancing developer productivity through AI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced studies or master’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, able to balance speed with safety in AI implementations.
