This leading, independent, global asset manager is currently looking to hire a Technology Support Analyst to join their dynamic and high profile Technology team. Ensuring 1st and 2nd line high quality support to the business, the successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant degree and have a technical work/internship experience within a similar role. A keen interest in working within investment management/ financial services, together with strong numerical ability is preferable.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate with a 2.1 in a relevant degree, or suitable work experience.
  • Numerate (required to pass numeracy entrance test).
  • Technical experience in a production Wintel / Cybersecurity environment.
  • Essential technical skills:
  • Windows OS 10
  • Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2/2016/2019/2022
  • Active Directory / DNS
  • Antivirus, encryption and data loss prevention suites
  • Public-key cryptography
  • Web proxy and email security products
  • Basic networking, TCP/IP, Routing/Switching
  • PowerShell, Batch scripting
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Strong oral and excellent written skills.
  • Relating and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous operation and protection of desktop and cybersecurity components.
  • Ensure optimal availability and performance of end user hardware and software.
  • Ensure cybersecurity infrastructure is fully operational, with complementary policies and procedures to maximise protection through defence in depth.
  • Ensure ongoing protection of critical data, via backups and replication.
  • Maintain lab environments, providing an efficient working environment for technology projects.
  • Respond to User and IT Staff queries, providing 1st/2nd line support.
  • Work with vendors as appropriate and manage the support process between Vendor/Technology/End-users.
  • Organise user and Technology staff training as required.
  • Provide out-of-hours support as required to ensure availability of critical desktop & cyber infrastructure components, and to carry out routine maintenance in and out-of-hours.
  • Provide VIP technical support to senior staff.
  • Provide support to the US Office, in partnership with local out-sourced support provider, including site visits as necessary.
  • Provision of high-quality Desktop support to internal clients, project teams and senior management.
  • Diligent maintenance of Cybersecurity infrastructure, according to the maintenance schedule agreed with the Support & Infrastructure Manager and any associated operational procedures to ensure protection from cyber-attacks.
  • Successful and timely delivery of assigned projects, according to the project schedule, as agreed with the Support & Infrastructure Manager.
  • High quality documentation, strong attention to detail. Maintain lab environments, providing an efficient working environment for technology projects.
