Company Description OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (ONC) seeks to reduce partisanship and promote effective solutions to America’s challenges. Powered by America’s youth, we host a media outlet, produce educational materials and facilitate dialogue intended to make America a better country. Job Description At OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION, we use a lot of platforms and systems. Here are some: WordPress, Bluehost, MailChimp, EventBrite, Slack, Substack, Zoom, OBS, Canva, Google Drive, Outlook, GoDaddy, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Libsyn, Spotify, ChatGPT, SmartRecruiters, Handshake, etc. We are looking to assemble a team of 3-4 student interns who will serve as our platform/systems/technical support managers. Individual interns will focus on systems they know – and they can learn other systems, too. This is intended to be a learning experience. You will learn from each other. With three to four interns, we hope we can cover all the bases. If there are any gaps, you will help fill them either by: 1) Learning that system from scratch; or 2)Finding another intern to join the team. We want our platform/systems managers to write up “how-to” manuals so others can learn these systems, too. Usually, a system is easy enough to run once you know it; getting up to speed from a cold start is hard. We need help managing our many passwords and other credentials. This is for people who are naturally gifted at tech and who have experience working with several platforms already. There is no pay, but you will get excellent experience. This internship will help prepare you to become a technical support professional, if that’s your goal. We appreciate continuity and will give preference to interns who can commit to at least six months. A year is better. What you will do will benefit America as our collective team seeks to reduce partisanship and get America talking again. A cover letter is much appreciated.
