Description JOB OVERVIEW: As a Technology Support Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technological operations. You'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional support and solutions to our users, enhancing their experience and driving our technological success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to support requests via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely resolution. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications. Assist in setting up and managing user accounts and access permissions. Document support activities, issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system. Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues. Conduct regular system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Train and guide users on best practices for utilizing technology tools and resources. Monitor and manage inventory of IT equipment and software licenses. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. Participate in the deployment and update of security measures and protocols. Support the implementation of new technology projects and initiatives. Provide on-site and remote support during system upgrades and migrations. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding technology use and support. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical support role. PREFERRED EDUCATION Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; bachelor's degree preferred. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Strong understanding of networking concepts. Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair. Familiarity with remote support tools and software. Basic knowledge of IT security principles and practices. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Customer-service oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality support. Experience with help desk ticketing systems. Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderate. Generally, well ventilated, and well lit. Warehouse team members may be required to wear protective clothing. Additionally, may operate heavy equipment and strict safety regulations may be required. Travel between warehouse locations in the Savannah area is a requirement – reliable transportation is a must. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is physically strenuous, and team members are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds. Work may require excessive bending or stooping. Team members may be required to climb ladders, use hand tools, and/or use heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light duty options may be available.
