We are seeking a professional with military testing and evaluation experience who will be supporting Department of Defense (DoD) customers in the transition to sustainable technologies for use in training and operational environments.
The candidate will be supporting the DoD Sustainable Technology Evaluation and Demonstration (STED) Program with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The DoD STED Program identifies, evaluates and demonstrates sustainable technologies in DoD operational environments, supports transition on these technologies to the Services, and facilitates inclusion of the products into Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and General Service Administration (GSA) procurement systems. The candidate will be responsible for initiating, leading and/or supporting technology demonstrations at multiple DoD or Federal agency facilities, including: identifying and researching sustainable technologies; identifying site-specific requirements at DoD or Federal agency facilities; working with manufactures and facility personnel to develop demonstration plans; conducting on site kick-off meetings, monitoring, collecting feedback, and closing-out the demonstrations; and developing a demonstration report.
In addition, the candidate will work with the STED team to support outreach to the Military Services through attending conferences and technical meetings showcasing sustainable technologies, provide awareness to the Services and agencies, and facilitate the initiation of future demonstrations. Duties include technology scouting, preparing and conducting technical briefings with the DoD or Federal agency personnel. The candidate will also work with DoD and Federal agencies in the transition of successfully demonstrated sustainable technologies into the Federal supply system.
