POSITION OVERVIEW

The Field Support Technician/Technologist is responsible for independently performing preventive and corrective maintenance and conducting remedial works on specialized power electronics equipment installed at customer substations.
The role also entails providing technical services to the Commissioning Engineers during the commissioning activities.
This role requires working at heights, both from ladders and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs / Manlifts), following technical procedures and the strict use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Technical or Technologist diploma in Electrical or Electronic, or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in high-voltage maintenance, ideally within the power transmission and distribution industry.
• Certifications: Electrical safety, PPE training and working at heights training/certification.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with high-voltage systems, power electronics, and safety regulations.
• Skills: Problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, effective communication, computer use and ability to work at heights.
• Language Skill: Fluent Spanish, English not necessary but an advantage.
