Description:

SALARY: $22.00 HOURLY

The YMCA of Greater New York is here for all New Yorkers — to empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community. Founded in 1852, today the Y serves a diverse population of more than half a million New Yorkers who learn, grow, and thrive through programs and services at our 24 branches. Community is the cornerstone of the Y. Together, we connect active, engaged New Yorkers to build stronger communities.
To help fulfill our mission, we cultivate a culture of learning, leading, and collaboration to enhance community impact. Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all.
The Flushing YMCA is seeking a Teen Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Beacon Director, the Teen Coordinator will lead the management and implementation of all teen programs at the Flushing branch off-site program at Beacon 194. Position responsibilities include assisting the Beacon Director in managing staff, program development, outreach, recruitment, and key community partnerships such as local schools. The impact of teen programs will be carefully measured and monitored for continuous improvement. Teen programs take place during the school year concurrent with the school day, after school hours, and Saturday evenings. Teen programs also take place during the summer on Saturday evenings. The Teen Coordinator will supervise all teen travel, including overnight and multi-day trips.
[Program Portfolio: Y Scholars, Teens Take the City (TTC), Leaders Club, Teen Center, and any newly developed programs].
