The post holder will be responsible for providing a qualified psychosexual therapy service providing psychosexual therapy assessments, therapy and treatment services to TYA patients experiencing sexual dysfunction, intimacy and relationship difficulties under the care of RSCH TYA Cancer care team. The role will require an understanding of: Age-specialist psychosexual needs of this age-group (18-30) Oncology Referral Pathways, including referral routes to further specialist clinical support or interventions Psychological Referral Pathways, including referral routes to further specialist clinical psychological support or interventions will be essential in the role Supporting and advocating for age-specialist improvement initiatives to improve the experiences and outcomes of TYA patients cancer experiences. Using Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support patients recovery and support their post traumatic growth. Using EMDR as a therapeutic approach to aid patients processing of any trauma caused by their cancer experience, thats affecting their mental health, intimacy, relationships and wellbeing.
