ABOUT US

Extreme Balconies is a leading manufacturer of balcony systems, delivering precision-engineered steel and aluminium solutions for construction projects across Ireland. We are expanding our design team and are looking for an experienced Tekla Detailer to join us in producing high-quality fabrication drawings for our manufacturing and installation teams.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in structural steel detailing (balcony or façade experience an advantage)
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures preferred; strong 3D modelling skills in other platforms considered
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and fabrication processes an advantage
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Tekla Detailer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for balcony systems and associated steelwork. While Tekla experience is preferred, candidates with strong 3D modelling skills in other software (e.g., Advance Steel, SolidWorks) will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures (or equivalent 3D modelling software)
  • Model steel and aluminium balcony systems to project specifications
  • Produce accurate GA drawings, assembly drawings, and parts lists for production
  • Liaise with engineers, project managers, and workshop teams to resolve technical queries
  • Ensure drawings are completed on time and meet company quality standards
  • Update models and drawings in line with design changes or site revisions
  • Maintain organised project files and documentation
