Due to company growth, we are excited to be adding a Project Coordinator who will play a critical role in tracking status, requesting documents, quality assurance, assisting, and coordinating assigned projects.
The project coordinator’s main duties include reviewing, revising, and coordinating various design documents for design-build projects using CAD and office suite software. Requesting documents from municipalities, coordinating PUCC circulations, submitting and tracking permit status and working in collaboration with other Design Team members. The ideal candidate will have previously completed or been a part of a municipal design/drawing project from start to finish. Experience with designs and drawings related to utilities, FTTH is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Architectural Technology/Technician Diploma or equivalent.
Min. 1-3 years of project coordinator experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD Software.
Experience reading and analyzing utility engineering drawings.
Familiarity with MC permit requirement for municipalities within GTA.
Ability to independently QC design drawings and able to interpret design guidelines.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Capable of direct communication with team members via phone and email.
Experience with telecom underground utility design (FTTx Projects) is an asset.
Project Management experience is an asset.
Strong leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

Request, submit and tracking various documents required for MC permits.
Monitor and update projects’ status and report to manager with real time status.
Review design plans and perform quality control review and instruct designers for revision according to design standards.
Collaborate with Designers, Project Managers and Construction Managers to achieve fluency within each project.
Schedule and manage workload to meet desired deadlines.
Submit permit applications where required.
