QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a telecom engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom deliverables for the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Equinor’s technical requirements, and NORSOK standards.
  • Skills in network design, including fiber optics and network cabling.
  • Hands-on installation experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft, MIPS, Procosys, and TIME.
  • Familiarity with activity schedules and task coordination.
  • Specialist knowledge in telecom systems and related equipment.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate Degree, Vocational School, BSc, or MSc in a relevant field.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in Equinor M&M (Modification and Maintenance) contracts, often as Discipline Responsible.
  • Develop functional design solutions within the telecom discipline and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Execute and coordinate technical procurement activities, including bulk Material Take-Off (MTO).
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including termination and loop design.
  • Register and maintain tagged items in system databases.
  • Conduct onshore/offshore field surveys.
  • Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) or Discipline Task Responsible (DTR).
  • Design and update control systems (e.g., ESDS, PSO, PCS).
  • Specify and prepare data sheets, technical documents, and job cards.
  • Follow up with vendors and ensure proper documentation.
