Company Profile JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force , Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. Job Summary -- Essential Functions/Duties A Field Engineer IV performs as a lead on more complex field engineering assignments and perform a variety of engineering assignments involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic/mechanical equipment and systems. Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties: * Experience with design, implementation, testing and maintenance on network and telecom equipment and systems. * Performs as network lead on network field engineering assignments. * Requires experience across different types of networking equipment and associated technologies. * Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructure. * Ability to design and implement solutions in accordance with commercial network standards. * Experience with network layers 2/2 and TDM networking equipment. * Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the system interconnects. * Ability to manage, troubleshoot and repair physical logical network infrastructure. Desired Qualifications * Experience with CISCO network equipment. * Experience with CIENA Optical Transport Network equipment. Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 12 years of experience in the specialty field are required for this position. In addition, a Telecom Engineer must possess the following qualifications: * Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable performance as a senior technical contributor on complex projects or programs * Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area * Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs * Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software * Excellent communication and analytical skills * Planning/organizational skills Salary The expected salary range for this position is $93,600 to $135,200 annually.   Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market/business considerations when extending an offer.
