To install and maintain outside cable plant in a timely manner to ensure the success of the Aerial Division. The Telecom Lineman will work under the direct supervision of the Superintendent.
Daily vehicle inspections ensuring maintenance is completed and deficiencies are reported to supervision.
Daily PPE/tool inspections ensuring maintenance is completed and deficiencies are reported to supervision.
Compete all safety documentation – which include FLHA’s, driver logs, etc
Request materials from Supervisor as required.
Complete work as tasked by Supervision.
Install and maintain Aerial Outside Cable Plant.
Climb and work aloft in bucket trucks, ladders or other support structures.
Read/interpret drawings and technical directives.
Works well in group/team environment and be able to work alone meeting deadlines.
Communicate both verbally and written with fellow employees and supervision.
Be able to work outside in different environments, rain, snow etc.
Language: Basic English
Driver Licences: Class 5 (non-GDL)
Weight handling: up to 23Kg (50Lbs)
Own tools/Equipment: steel-toed safety boots, basic tool kit
Fall Protection
First Aid
Experience climbing telephone poles or a course
