JOB SUMMARY:

Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) is a Major Command of the United States Air Force and is also the air component command of the United States Indo-Pacific Command. PACAF/A6 provides communications and information capabilities. Specifically to deliver communications and information strategic direction, policy and resources for PACAF units. The primary responsibility of this position will be to design, configure, travel and install Juniper Circuit To Packet (CTP) equipment at PACAF locations. Travel may include locations such as Guam, Korea, Alaska, Japan and other similar PACAF locations. This is a temporary 6 month position based out of JBPHH, HI.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ yrs experience
• Bachelor?s degree
• Security clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility required)
• Must have a valid US Passport

• Experience in telecommunications network design, management and installation.
• Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN data networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement.
• Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion.
• Experience in analyzing customer requirements and be able to assist customers with the processes for ordering, provisioning, activating DoD telecommunications services and the use of the aforementioned provisioning applications.
• In conjunction with leadership, develops alternative solutions and backup plans.
• Closely coordinates with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services.
• Possess an understanding of the DoD and Air Force’s organizational structure and installations
• Experience managing voice networks across classifications.
