We are looking for an external Fibre Installation Engineer to install, service and maintain fibre cable to residential properties using both the UG and OH network. You will work both overhead and underground using OR PIA and client specific networks. Activities will include using overhead spanning and underground small distance cable pulling, and a small portion of digging and re-instatement within property boundaries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Driving to customers houses and premises
· Adhering to Health and Safety legislation
· Installing fibre cable and CPE to customers properties ready for second-fix installs, in line with client specification
· Splicing and testing the fibre network throughout the installation
· Working at height – including ladders and telegraph poles
· Identify faults, blockages etc. and resolve
· Completing relevant risk assessments, self-auditing and apps
· Work as an individual and as part of a team to achieve targets and KPIs
· Train and upskill colleagues
· Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the role
YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND BE ABLE TO PROVE EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCE:
· Must hold a full UK driving licence
· Must hold in-date NRSWA unit 2, SA001, SA002, S7 and S8 qualifications
· Previous experience of overhead spanning, cable pulling and re-instatement.
· Experience of blowing fibre and splicing
· Strong problem solving skills with previous experience of fault finding and fixing.
· Excellent customer service skills
· Confident working at height and in underground network
· Excellent communication skills
· Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
