Your role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, coordinating network installations and changes, and maintaining detailed records of equipment configurations and network connections. Additionally, you will act as a team lead for lower-level telecommunications staff, collaborating with department leaders to review requests and discuss solutions, ensuring efficient and effective communication infrastructure.     Summary of Job Duties: * Provides daily support for moves, adds, and changes for voice and data networks, including hardware and software. * Installs, tests, and maintains wiring and connections for voice, data, and local area networks. * Diagnoses, services, and repairs voice and data connections across various types of cabling, including fiber optic, copper, coax, and audio-visual systems. * Provides second-tier technical support to determine corrective actions for reported telecommunications and electronic data processing equipment issues. * Maintains detailed records of equipment configurations and voice and data connections. * Collab. * orates with department members to act as an initial liaison between the IT/Telecommunications department and customers. Minimum Qualifications: * Completion of two (2) years college coursework or technical training in electronics. * Experience which indicates a thorough knowledge of computer data processing systems and telecommunications equipment and systems. * Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive County vehicles.   Preferred Qualifications: * BICSI Certified Installer 1 INST1. * BICSI Certified Installer 2 Cooper INSTC. * Commscope SYSTIMAX Installation & Maintenance Certification.
