Job Description Crown is currently searching for skilled Telecommunications Technicians to join our team in the telecommunications industry. The Telecoms Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and assisting in the setup and teardown of telecommunications equipment used for installation, testing, and maintenance of communication systems. This role supports field technicians and engineers to ensure reliable operation of wired and wireless networks, including microwave, fiber, and radio systems. Key Responsibilities Operate telecom-related equipment such as cable winches, signal analyzers, test sets, RF meters, and antenna alignment tools. Assist with installation, alignment, and maintenance of antennas, radios, cabling, and support infrastructure. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of telecom systems. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and field test results. Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards (OSHA, FCC, etc.). Support site setup, including rigging, grounding, and environmental protection of telecom equipment. Assist engineering and construction teams with system upgrades, site commissioning, and decommissioning. Transport and secure telecom equipment and materials to and from job sites. Pay rate is $35-$45 an hour. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related field preferred. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or utilities preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with RF systems, fiber optics, or data network hardware. Basic understanding of test equipment and telecom installation tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor/remote environments. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends if required. Must have access to good credit for travel expenses, which are reimbursed on a voucher system within two weeks.
