A great opportunity to join Ventia as a Telecommunications Field Technician (multiple positions available) to support a major NBN contract across NSW and QLD. In this role you’ll be responsible for installation, fault finding, and maintenance of NBN services, including fibre technologies such as Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) and Fibre to the Node (FTTN), which deliver high-speed internet connections to homes and businesses. With work sites located across NSW and QLD, we welcome applicants based anywhere within these states, or those open to relocating.   What’s in it for you? Permanent full-time role (Mon–Fri) on a long-term NBN contract  Fully equipped work vehicle and all tools provided  Monthly RDOs and generous EBA conditions  Optional overtime for extra earnings  Latest tech: laptop, iPad & mobile phone  Ongoing training & career development  Opportunity to mentor trainees and support diversity programs  Employee benefits program & health initiatives including Fitness Passport   What you’ll be doing: Residential and commercial cabling (aerial, copper, fibre, HFC) Splicing, jointing, jumpering, and testing Fault diagnosis and repair of NBN networks and CPE Minor civil works and cable relocation Customer service and onsite troubleshooting   To be successful, you’ll need:This role involves working within people’s homes, therefore effective communication and the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.  Have a strong knowledge of customer cabling, testing and capable to fault finding with in the NBN network NBN Enable card (or willingness to obtain)  We will consider applicants with an electrical background with a keenness to learn NBN technologies  Aerial accreditation (fibre, copper, HFC) highly desirable  Valid driver’s licence Outstanding customer service All successful applicants must be willing to undergo a police check, medical and reference checks.   About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
