Telehealth Doctor (Contract) Salary $175 p/h Up to 20 hours per week (fully remote) We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Telehealth Doctor to join our clinical team on a contract basis. Simple Online Doctor is an Australian-based digital healthcare service providing safe, convenient online consultations for a range of conditions, including erectile dysfunction, hair loss, weight management (including GLP-1 therapies), and contraceptive care. What you’ll be doing This role involves delivering high-quality care to patients via phone and video consultations. The position is ideal for a clinician seeking flexible, part-time hours within standard business times. Preferred days: Monday to Wednesday 8am-4pm. Additional opportunity to cover after-hours and weekends Key Responsibilities - Review and assess asynchronous health questionnaires and pre-screening information - Conduct patient consultations via telephone and secure video platforms - Prescribe medications in accordance with relevant regulations (after real-time telehealth call) - Escalate or refer patients to other healthcare professionals or services when clinically indicated - Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely clinical documentation - Ensure compliance with clinical governance, privacy, and data security standards - Deliver care that is patient-centred, culturally safe, and evidence-based Required Qualifications and Registration - Medical degree recognised in Australia - Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions - Appropriate medical indemnity insurance to cover telehealth consultations - Registration in New Zealand is advantageous Experience and Skills - Previous experience in telehealth settings and/or general practice settings - Confidence in conducting consultations via phone and video - Excellent communication and rapport-building skills - Competence with digital health systems and electronic medical records Technology Requirements - Reliable high-speed internet connection - Access to a private, quiet workspace suitable for telehealth consultations - Willingness to use company-approved telehealth platforms and clinical systems The Simple Online Healthcare Promise: Founded in 2015, we started off as a small pharmacy with big dreams.
