Bring Your Nursing Expertise Home - Join Serco’s Virtual Clinical Team We’re hiring Registered Nurses to support Australians over the phone - offering expert clinical guidance across a flexible 24/7 roster all from the comfort of your home. This role is part of our partnership with Healthdirect, supporting their purpose-driven mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare advice to every Australian, no matter where they live. We can offer part-time (25 hours) to full-time (38 hours) fixed term contract until 30th June 2026, with a possibility of extension. As part of the role, you will: Triage and assess callers to determine appropriate care pathways Actively listen and extract vital clinical information Offer guidance using clinical pathways and evidence-based tools Refer or transfer to relevant services when required Document interactions using a secure digital system Training: We provide a full week of paid online training to set you up for success. Full attendance is essential during training. Training dates will be confirmed with you during the recruitment process. Who We’re Looking For: Registered Nurses with unrestricted AHPRA registration for a minimum of 3 years Have at least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience as an RN within the past 5 years Recent experience in complex primary health, acute medical, emergency department or rural/remote settings Are confident working autonomously and under pressure Can demonstrate strong computer literacy skills, including comfort navigating telehealth platforms, CRMs and digital communication tools Have a home setup with reliable Wi-Fi, strong mobile reception, and a quiet, confidential space Must reside within Australia to be eligible for this role All candidates must be willing and able to work 24x7 shift patterns including day shifts, afternoon shifts, evening shifts, and weekend shifts on a fixed, 2 week rotating roster as required Join the Serco Community At Serco, you’ll be part of a global team of 60,000+ professionals delivering essential public services across sectors including Community Services, Defence, Healthcare, Immigration, Justice and Transport.
