TELEMARKETING / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

The Custom Group Ltd is a 50 year established business supplying curtains, blinds, AV and Drama equipment largely to educational premises, new construction buildings and public sector establishments across the UK.
Working closely with the Head of Business Development, the Directors and Sales Representatives, we require an individual to join our business development team based at our modern, open plan, air conditioned office premises in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

The role briefly involves:-

  • Following up live quotations sent to customers in order to progress the quotations into orders
  • Identifying suitable building projects on the Glenigan construction projects database
  • Contacting construction companies bidding for projects to enquire if we can provide them with a quotation for the curtains/blinds on the project (names and numbers are provided)
  • If successful, liaising with our sales representatives and quotation department to ensure the customer receives their quotation in a timely manner
  • Creation of marketing campaigns, completing questionnaires and other general administration/marketing work

This role involves a significant amount of telephone/computer work and applicants must have previous experience in a similar role, be self-motivated with a good working knowledge of database type applications. Full training on the use of the web based Glenigan database will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to get involved in a new and exciting part of our business, with scope to help develop and mould both our software system and future marketing function.

We can offer:-

  • Minimum basic salary of £23k (amount dependant upon experience)
  • Uncapped sales commission (OTE + £2-4k)
  • £600 annual bonus for full attendance (paid quarterly)
  • 28 days holiday per annum, rising to 34 days with length of service
