Join the team at White Rock Medical Center as a Telemetry Technician and play a key role in monitoring patients’ heart rhythms and supporting our acute care team in delivering high-quality care. About the Role The Telemetry Technician is responsible for continuously monitoring patients’ cardiac rhythms using telemetry systems, identifying abnormalities, and alerting clinical staff to any significant changes. This position is vital to ensuring timely interventions and safe patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital What You’ll Do Monitor cardiac rhythms for multiple patients simultaneously via telemetry systems Recognize and interpret normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms and waveform changes Immediately notify nurses and physicians of significant rhythm changes or life-threatening arrhythmias Accurately document cardiac events and rhythm strips per hospital protocol Troubleshoot telemetry equipment and ensure all monitors are functioning properly Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required Completion of a basic EKG/telemetry monitoring course Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Telemetry technician certification preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire Experience: Prior telemetry or cardiac monitoring experience in an acute care setting preferred Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and rhythm interpretation Ability to identify life-threatening arrhythmias (e.g., VT, VF, asystole, heart blocks) Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability Calm and focused under pressure Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join White Rock Medical Center?
