Role Purpose Drive new business growth by developing and managing relationships with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) remotely, generating revenue across Charles Stanley’s full proposition range. You’ll work both independently and in close partnership with our field-based Business Development Managers to maximise opportunities. Key Responsibilities Proactively generate new business and achieve sales targets for assigned accounts through remote engagement. Build and nurture relationships with new and existing IFAs via outbound calls and digital communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound IFA queries, providing timely and accurate information. Confidently explain Charles Stanley’s propositions over the phone or by email. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Discretionary Fund Management market, including relevant legislation and regulation. Apply a consultative sales approach to understand and address IFA needs. Support and follow up on national and centrally coordinated campaigns. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and KPI requirements, using management information (MI) to plan and prioritise business development activity. Identify IFAs who would benefit from additional field-based support and coordinate accordingly. Maintain excellent internal and external relationships to achieve business objectives. Keep IFA records accurate and current within the company CRM for effective reporting. Qualifications & Experience Proven track record in sales, ideally with experience in telephone-based business development. Strong knowledge of the IFA market and financial services sales. Broad experience in business development within financial services. Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) preferred. Background in financial services is essential. Skills & Competencies Strong technical understanding of Charles Stanley’s propositions. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. Highly resilient, self-motivated, and effective at prospecting new clients. Solid knowledge of Discretionary Fund Management products. Organised, proactive, and a collaborative team player. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
