Job Title: Telephone Operator Receptionist Department: Communications Shift: Variable Daily Work Times: Variable Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 0 Position Summary: Responsible for operating the main hospital switchboard equipment; handling incoming and outgoing calls; interfacing with all hospital departments, physicians, nursing units, patients, and others; operating the public address and overhead paging systems, using the computer terminal; receiving the public at the information desk. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to operate related telephone equipment 3 months experience utilizing Windows based functionality and programs Ability to enunciate and communicate effectively in a courteous, controlled, and tactful manner under various levels of stress.
