Description Advanced Pediatric Associates is seeking a dedicated and skilled Telephone Triage Nurse to join our team. In this full-time role, you will assess and classify patients over the phone, determining their medical needs and the urgency of care. You will utilize APA's medical guidelines, nursing processes, and ClearTriage Systems protocols to provide high-quality triage services. Adherence to APA's EMR guidelines is essential. Schedule: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days a week, with occasional Saturday mornings Please note: This position requires in-office work at our Administrative office in Aurora (I-225 & Parker Rd) and is not eligible for remote work. Salary Range: $33 - $37 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Benefits: Day shift hours with evenings and weekends off, work occasional Saturday mornings. Flexible work schedule. Key Responsibilities: Provide telephone triage care using established nursing processes and protocols. Schedule patient appointments as needed in accordance with our scheduling guidelines. Accurately document all triage calls, prescription refills, and prior authorization requests in our computer system. Calculate medication dosages with precision. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure exceptional patient care. Communicate clearly and effectively with providers, patients, parents, APA team members, and representatives from hospitals. Provide clear, concise instructions to patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and prescriptions. Document all triage calls thoroughly, including the protocols used, and follow up on any medically concerning issues. Requirements Associates Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred Current Colorado RN license required BLS certification required Minimum of one-year professional nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics Previous telephone triage experience preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
