  • 8-10

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years of experience in telecom engineering or voice network administration
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP systems (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Microsoft Teams Voice)
  • Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, TCP/IP, and other telecom protocols
  • Experience with telecom carrier services and number porting
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certifications such as CCNA Voice, Avaya Certified Specialist, or Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony solutions (e.g., RingCentral, Zoom Phone)
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management
  • Experience with call center technologies and integrations
Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Telephony Telecom Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise telecommunication systems
  • This role involves working with VoIP, PBX, SIP trunking, and unified communications platforms to ensure reliable and scalable voice services across the organization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, configure, and maintain telephony systems including VoIP, PBX, and SIP-based platforms
  • Manage telecom infrastructure including call routing, trunking, and number provisioning
  • Collaborate with vendors and carriers to troubleshoot and resolve service issues
  • Monitor system performance and implement upgrades or optimizations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and internal security policies
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides
  • Participate in telecom-related projects including migrations, expansions, and integrations with other IT systems
