Description CORE PLUS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Job Description Job Title: Teller Float Department: Retail Reports To: Branch Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Under supervision of the Branch Manager, and in compliance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of teller related functions, such as processing share account, checking account, and loan transactions, cashing checks, and selling monetary instruments. This position is required to travel among all branch locations to provide coverage based on the staffing needs. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Represents the Credit Union to the members in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Performs all teller functions, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, selling money orders and travelers checks, maintaining cash drawer, and accurate knowledge of VISA payments, and VISA cash advances. Assists with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and record keeping. Actively cross-sells Credit Union services and assists in meeting branch goals De- escalates member service issues by actively looking for solutions. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 or more years cash handling and customer service experience required. Intermediate computer or other knowledge including the ability to operate Credit Union's in-house teller terminal and other standard office equipment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment. Reliable means of transportation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Note: Regularly - more than 2/3 of the time, frequently - 1/3 to 2/3 of the time, occasionally - less than 1/3 of the time.
