Description CORE PLUS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION Job Description Job Title: Teller Float Department: Retail Operations Reports To: Branch Officer FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Branch Officer and Head Teller and in compliance with established policies and procedures, this position performs a variety of teller related functions, such as cashing checks, selling monetary instruments and processing payments. This position also contributes to the overall sales of the branch by identifying cross-sell opportunities with new and existing members. This position will travel among the various branch locations to support the staffing needs of Retail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions. Cross sells Credit Union services. 2. Performs all teller functions, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, loan disbursements, and selling money orders, maintaining cash drawer, and accurate knowledge of VISA cash advances. 3. Resolves routine member service concerns and/or notifies the appropriate authority to do so. 4. Assists with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and record keeping. 5. Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services. Meet individual sales goals and contributes to the overall team goals. 6. May perform member service representative functions, as needed. This includes basic member account maintenance and account opening. 7. Responsible for performing branch opening and closing under dual control. 8. Accurately and in a timely fashion balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer within specified time periods and at shift’s end (in strict accordance with the Credit Union guidelines). 9. Requirements Qualification · High school diploma or equivalent. · 1-2 years of previous teller or retail experience preferred. · Ability to use various technical platforms including Microsoft office (excel, word etc.). · Ability to work well on teams and independently while keeping internal and external service top of mind. · Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. · Excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster strong member relationships. Certificates, Licenses, Registration Valid State of Connecticut Driver’s License or equivalent.
