POSITION SUMMARY: The Teller works in a fast-paced, fun environment with opportunities for advancement.  Tellers provide a variety of teller account services such as handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, greeting customers and maintaining accounts. The candidate should provide a professional image and be the face and voice of our company.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to work in a relationship business; get to know customers and genuinely care about their financial well-being by providing solutions to meet their needs.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process financial transactions accurately and timely in a friendly and professional manner. The variety of transactions may be completed via the lobby, drive-thru, night-drop, mail, or ATM.   Balance daily work and assigned cash drawer, and research differences where applicable.   Actively listen to our customers, and communicate in a friendly, positive manner always, even in difficult situations.  Demonstrate quality customer service by incorporating the Legendary Service Standards. Recognize and interpret customer needs and cross-sell bank products/services ensuring recommendations are customer centric to meet the needs of the customer.  Make referrals to other lines of business for traditional and non-traditional products and services.  Actively participate in the branch sales program and goal achievement. Perform teller functions in accordance with established bank policies, procedures, and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school Diploma or GED Certificate  Cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred Basic math skills, PC and typing skills, and the ability to count U.S. currency required Basic 10-key skills Typing requirement of 25 wpm Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy required Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance Ability to read, write, and speak English. Effective oral and written communication skills Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner Look for sales and referral opportunities in a "needs based" selling environment Must possess good judgment skills and the ability to handle confidential information Ability to work quickly and accurately, to analyze information and make decisions Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise Ability to operate teller and office equipment including computers, calculators/adding machines, telephones, voice mail, electronic typewriters, copy machines, fax machines, automatic currency counter, coin machine, check encoder, and security devices Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form   PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk; see and hear Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch Frequently lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds  Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Responsibilities
The Teller processes financial transactions accurately and timely while providing excellent customer service. They also balance their cash drawer and actively participate in the branch sales program.
