We are currently seeking a Part-Time Bank Teller to join our team at our Kewanee location. What Will a Bank Teller Do? The Bank Teller serves as the first point of contact for many of our customers and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include: Accurately processing customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers Balancing a cash drawer daily with accuracy and efficiency Identifying customer needs and providing information on bank products and services, with appropriate referrals to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), lenders, or other banking professionals Providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally Learning, understanding, and following all retail banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and bank information Assisting with assignments or projects as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth branch operations, including possible travel to other branch locations Performing other duties as assigned Experience, Education, and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous banking experience preferred Cash handling experience required Retail or sales experience strongly preferred Ability to successfully complete any required background checks or regulatory screenings Skills and Competencies Needed Proven customer service skills with a customer-first mindset Strong computer and technology skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong aptitude for math and numerical accuracy Attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Work Environment & Physical Requirements Most duties are performed in a climate-controlled office environment May be exposed to hot or cold weather conditions when traveling between branch locations Prolonged periods of standing or sitting may be required Must be able to handle cash, use standard office equipment, and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Join Our Team We invite you to apply and become part of our dedicated and dynamic team, where your contributions make a difference in the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
