Overview of the Role The Teller Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the teller line by maintaining a professional, secure and safe environment. They must also handle monetary transactions and deliver superior service to members. Teller Supervisor scheduling is Monday-Friday 8:15am-5:15pm with two to three Saturdays a month from 8:45am-12:15pm. Requirements Teller Supervisor Responsibilities Oversee the teller line operation for the branch. Ensure timely and accurate processing of member transactions. Maintain the branch vault, including processing vault transactions, ordering cash, balancing cash drawers and maintaining proper records. Greet and engage with members to guarantee a positive experience and develop strong member relationships. Look for opportunities to cross-sell products and services that would provide value and benefit to the members and encourage tellers to do the same. Oversee ATM balancing, daily deposits and night depository. Monitor branch security on a daily basis; ensuring that cameras, monitors, etc. are in working order. Perform monthly surprise audits. Other duties as assigned Teller Supervisor Expectations Be a leader and role model for the tellers. Adapt a work ethic that is aligned with GPO’s mission and keeps our member service at the forefront. Hold oneself accountable for your actions and commitments. Complete training as assigned and continually search for opportunities to enhance one’s ability and knowledge. Effectively communicate with fellow employees and branch management in a professional and courteous manner. Follow policies and procedures, abiding by the ethical standards as outlined in the personnel policy. Teller Supervisor Qualifications Determined and motivated individual with a positive attitude. Ability to work in a team setting as well as take on projects as an individual. A high-school diploma or a GED. A minimum of two-years of teller experience. Must be able to guide other tellers on policies and procedures relating to teller line functions. Must have a proven ability to cross-sell and refer products and services. Should be proficient in the use of computers and various software programs Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Teller Supervisor Physical Demands Standing for extended periods of time. Ability to manually count cash with dexterity on a regular basis. Ability to lift bags of coin and cash drawers with regularity in excess of 10lbs.
