Summary
This TEMP Analyst - Finance (TP Accounting) is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting of Revenue and Cost of Transportation Business, analyzing financial activities and profitability, and reporting the findings to management.
Compensation
6 months; $25 Per Hour (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

  • HMA Standard Revenue and Cost Analysis
  • Assist with daily review of HMA Revenue and Cost Invoices
  • Verify rates with ITMS system
  • Review Vehicle Model, Car Type, Shipment Destination and look up against Contract Rates for these filters
  • Become familiar with HMA Cost Accrual workbook and learn how Revenue and Cost are calculated
  • Review prior month Cost estimates vs actual Cost posted, to confirm Accrual logs have no errors and Actual cost is updated
  • Reconcile revenue accrued with SAP Invoices, verify all Vessel Diverted units received correct rate
  • VL Shipment Deviation Project
  • With guidance from Manager and Administrator, revise the template for Vehicle Logistics Shipment Deviation Report
  • Work with Vehicle Logistics team to understand cost structure and investigate missing costs
  • Verify all monthly incremental cost
  • Vessel Diversion Red Folders Reconciliation
  • Compile Vin list for all Vessel Diversions in 2025
  • Verify all the Incremental Cost and Investigate missing Cost
  • Verify Shipment Deviation log includes all Vessel Diverted units
  • Verify all Vessel diverted units are billing the correct Revenue Rate
  • Assist the team during month end closing
  • Support with any ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills Required
  • Knowledge in Power BI, Access, Work, Point Preferred

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s Degree Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 1 - 2 Years of experience in Accounting, Economics, Business Required
  • 3 Years of experience in Accounting, Economics, Business, Logistics, Data analytics Preferred
