Description
A newly launched 40m sailing yacht is seeking a temporary Chef to join ASAP for a delivery from Finland down to Malta. This is a brand-new sailing yacht with the galley fully set up and ready to go, however the successful candidate will need to come in and handle the initial fly provisioning before departure. The delivery is expected to take around three weeks, weather dependent. The owner and his wife will both be onboard for the first 4–5 days, after that it will be just the owner for the remainder of the trip. There will be approximately 15 people onboard in total, with everyone eating the same meals in a relaxed, family-style setup. The style of food should be fresh, healthy and varied, with a focus on vibrant flavours and quality ingredients. The owners particularly enjoy Ottolenghi-style cuisine, alongside Mediterranean and lighter international dishes. This is very much delivery-style cooking, but the chef should still take pride in producing colourful, well-balanced and enjoyable food consistently for larger numbers. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable and comfortable working within a busy sailing environment, while maintaining a positive and easy-going attitude onboard. Responsibilities
